R-Ladies Irvine Website

After founding R-Ladies Irvine, I knew that the group needed a strong online presence to help as many people as possible know about the group and the data science and professional development resources it provides. Meetup, although a great event hosting platform, does not provide a universally accessible nor strong web presence. So I made a completely separate and new website called www.rladiesirvine.org to host all of the group’s contact/social media information, meeting information and materials, and even a blog to showcase members’ recent achievements and contributions to the R community. The source code can be found in the R-Ladies Irvine GitHub organization under the source and rladies-irvine.github.io repositories.

This website was made with help from Alison Hill’s well-written and comprehensive “Up and Running with Blogdown” tutorial.
